Abstract
The author reviews the three major approaches Maine legislators have taken to address problems within Maine's healthcare system—establishing commissions or boards, proposing bills to address specific problems, and proposing systemic reform. He then discusses a simple, practical opportunity for legislators to address them: appointing the Maine Health Care Board as established in law in 2021.
