Abstract/ Summary
This program documents the Baccalaureate Exercises for the Washington State Teachers College graduating class of 1955, held on Sunday, June 5, in Machias, Maine. The ceremony included a piano prelude by Carol Smith (Class of 1957), choral performances by the College A Cappella Choir, scripture readings, and hymns such as “Jesus Shall Reign” and “Faith of Our Fathers.” The address was delivered by Rev. Herbert L. Wass, and the service concluded with a benediction. These exercises were part of a long-standing tradition marking the spiritual and academic transition of graduates at this rural Maine teachers college.
