Abstract/ Summary
Held on Sunday, June 1, 1957, the Baccalaureate Exercises for Washington State Teachers College marked a solemn and reflective beginning to graduation week. The ceremony featured musical selections by the College A Cappella Choir, including “Salvation is Created” and “Beautiful Savior,” as well as hymns and scripture readings. Rev. Margaret K. Henrichsen delivered the address, with additional leadership from Rev. William R. Riddiough. The program reflects the religious and musical traditions that framed mid-century teacher education in rural Maine.
