Description
Black and white photograph of a large, carved wooden dragon folk art sculpture by Steve Lindsay, 1982, named "Elmer's Dragon." The work is surrounded by old signs and boxes in front of an antique shop in Maine. In the foreground is a detailed wooden dragon with wings spread. The figure is standing upright and facing to the right, chained against a wooden plank wall. Around the dragon are weathered signs with faded lettering, including a directional "ANTIQUES" sign. Also visible are various old metal boxes and containers. The scene is taken outside Elmer's Barn antique shop in Coopers Mills, Maine. 1994. Jill Linzee, photograph. (See NA4800.)
