Description
A photographic copy of an image of artist Carl Sprinchorn. An original copy was a gift to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson at Monson, Maine in 1918. After a member of the Anderson family shared copies, the Carl Sprinchorn Admiration Society provided one for Special Collections in 2000. The donor noted that Sprinchorn appears to be wearing boots from L.L. Bean, a company founded approximately seven years prior to the time the photograph was taken.
Sprinchorn was born in Sweden and divided his time between residences in New York, Santo Domingo, and Maine.
