Description
An image scanned from a black and white photograph. The photo has been labeled in handwriting "Mary Balscheff," which seems to refer to Mariia Grigorevna Kentakuzen Balasheva, author of the 1928 work The Transplanting, a Narrative from the Letters of Marie Balascheff, a Russian Refugee in France, edited by Martha Genung Stearns. Several photographs are included in the papers of Ada Peirce McCormick of a visit to Martha Strearns at her home near Petersborough, New Hampshire.
