Description
Black and white photograph of a granite sculpture entitled “Focus,” installed outside the A. K. Christie Building at Northern Maine Technical College, Presque Isle, Maine. The photograph shows a modern granite sculpture composed of three vertically standing stone elements arranged in a circular bed of small rocks, situated in front of a brick academic building. The central granite block features a circular depression near its top and a smaller drilled hole within the depression. The left stone features a geometric carving resembling four interlocked diamonds, while the right stone is marked by three parallel bands encircling it. The surrounding building has large rectangular windows. Created by Maine sculptor Ronald W. Cross in 1992, the artwork is titled “Focus” and is owned by the college. Undated. Unidentified photographer. (See p16862-p16869)(NA4800.)
