Description
Black and white photograph of a tall, angular metal sculpture set outdoors among trees entitled, "Peace Dividend," by sculptor Melita Brecher, 1994. The image shows a large, upright metal sculpture positioned on a patch of ground covered with leaves, surrounded by dense trees in the background. The sculpture consists of a wide, tapering base that narrows as it rises, then transitions into several geometric shapes, including a rectangular block, smooth round stone, and rounded arch at the top. The surface of the sculpture is smooth, marked by subtle, dry-brush painted patterns. 54 Hancock Street, Bar Harbor, Maine. 1994. Jill Linzee, photograph. (See p16198-p16226.) (See NA4800.)
