Description
Chocolate or brown print of members of the E.L. & E.J. Smart woods crew next to a sledge loaded with logs in the snowy woods. The sledge is pulled by a matched team of gray or white horses. The crew was operated by brothers Ernest Lester Smart and Elijah Johnston Smart. The men are identified as (top of the load) Sylvanus Goodrich, W.O. Smart, (standing) E.L. Smart, J.E. Smart, Jr., T.S. Smart. The crew was working at Meadow Brook, Howland, Maine. 1892-1893. (See also p08024) See NA2462.
