Description
Chocolate or brown print photograph of the 1907 Jose Smart (Joseph Emery Smart, Jr.) woods crew in Seboeis, Maine. The group of 15 unidentified men pose in a snowy clearing in the woods. Six of the men sit on a felled tree while the remaining eight men stand on a second felled tree behind. The photo appears to have been taken during a tea or lunch break. The men are dressed in layers of winter clothing, dark sweaters and coats. The date of the photograph is questioned. The initial date on the back read 1907 but was changed to 1906. While four of the men appear to also be in the crew photo, firmly dated 1906, this is not the same crew. See NAFOH 2462.
