Description
Black and white photograph of three unidentified men standing beside a small log woods camp building, ca. . The man standing on the far left is dressed in overalls, sweater, heavy coat and a brimed felt hat cocked over one eye. His hair, mustache, and beard are gray. He is holding a pair of snow shoes. The man standing in the center appears to be the youngest of the group. He has dark hair, a beard, and mustache and is holding a scaling measure and is dressed in wood slacks, a wool vest, dark shirt and top coat. His felt hat is pushed back on his head. A small note book is visible in the breast pocket of his vest. The third man also wears a felt hat with a durby-style brim. He is dressed in all dark clothing and is holding a kerosene lamp in one hand. A bobbed-tail dog is jumping up on his hind legs, trying to get the man's attention. See p00097, photo of the same man who stands in the center of this image. Location is unidentified. Donated by Sarah “Sadie” Augusta French Lee, aka Mrs. Lyman K. Lee of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
