Black and white finish line photo of bay gelding Don Vernon winning the second of three straight heats in the 2.17 Trot and Pace at the Oxford County Fair, South Paris, Maine, 1933. Don Vernon was driven by owner/driver C. L. Stevens Finishing second in the heat, according to Guy Kendall's notes, is Katherine C., Chappelle up; Jessie Napoleon came on to finish the heat in third while the fourth and fifth places were secured by Klata Direct (misidentified as "Clato Direct" on the score card) and Del Volo.
