Black and white action photo of one of the heats of the Classified Pace, Saturday, October 12, 1935 at Topsham Fair, Topsham, Maine. Direct Dillon, out of the Carson stable in Lewis, N.Y. finished one-and-two with Nicdale, out of James Phalen's stable of Newmarket, N. H. The horse owner, Vergery Carson, was hospitalized following a race track wreck on October 9, 1935 and unable to drive Direct Dillon for the Saturday contest.
