Abstract
Race program for the Wednesday, July 17, 1940 harness racing meet at the one mile Kite Track at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The cover of the program includes the names of the track manager, John H. Gilbody, and members of the Maine State Racing Commission, Miles B. Mank, Harold O. Pelley, and William A. Lumb. The Steward, Walter Gibbons, is also listed. Officials for the day's races are also listed including the Starter, Harry McKenney; Judges Dr. John A. Stevens and Frank G. Trott; the Timers, Joseph D. Knight and Howard Weston. Phil Erlick is listed as Clerk of the Course. The program includes Guy Kendall's handwritten notes on the race finishes and race times. Kendall also mounted a black and white image of Buy Messenger on the final panel of the program.
