Abstract
The official race program for the Saturday, September 3, 1938, South Kennebec Fair held at the Windsor Fairgrounds. The South Kennebec Fair originated with the South Kennebec Agricultural Association in 1888. The association included the towns of Chelsea, Windsor, Pittston, and Whitefield. The half-mile track was built that same year at South Windsor Counter.
The program includes the names of the race officials including the starter, judges, Clerk of Course and timers. Also included is information about changes to the Maine State Racing Rules and information about the Daily Double. Guy Kendall noted changes in the field of horses, finish times, a new track record set in the 2.14 Pace, and made notes regarding his bets and winnings. He notes on the program cover that he hit the Daily Double, earning $16.40 in winnings.
