Project Abstract/ Summary
We propose to bring two highly regarded scholars of Russian political affairs to the University of Maine to share their expertise with the University community, and the general public, regarding the changing role of Russia in world affairs.
Our proposed guest speakers are each highly accomplished scholars; Dr. Thomas F. Remington is presently Scholar-in-Residence at the Harvard University Davis Center while on leave from Emory University, where is Professor of Political Science; Dr. Brian D. Taylor is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs Syracuse University. Each has published widely on Russian political affairs, and is highly regarded in the scholarly community.
