Commentators Jack Atwood and Jake Brofee continue coverage of the second annual Maine Broiler Day festival in Belfast City Park in 1949. The organizer of coronation ceremonies, Laurel Clements, gives a few, brief remarks, and then Maine Governor Frederick G. Payne announces the winner of the Maine Poultry Queen contest, Betty Perry of Lincolnville Beach. Atwood and Brofee continue to discuss the methods for preparing a large barbecue to feed 4,000 attendees.
