Abstract/ Summary
Pages from a diary kept by a teacher from Pembroke, Maine. Records follow the December 31, 1885 entry to include a list of deaths for the town of Pembroke with names, dates, and age at the time of death. Notes include a few addresses, a cough syrup recipe, and several pages of information under the heading of cash accounts. The financial records include lists of items purchased during the year, payments for services like having teeth filled, and amounts paid for teaching.
