Abstract/ Summary

This paper explored the following issues: a) what is meant by “right to work;” b) the legal issues involved in union membership and right-to-work; c) impacts of right-to-work laws, including comparisons of right-to-work vs. “free-bargaining” states, and d) the history of earlier right-to-work attempts in Maine.
