Abstract/ Summary
university research personnel used MEIF resources to support the staff, equipment and facilities they need to successfully pursue and develop research projects. MEIF funds often provided the required match to acquire federal or private-sector grants. MEIF money also supported equipment purchases or facilities renovations to make the universities competitive for federal grants.
