Abstract/ Summary
The 6th annual UMaine Student Symposium for Research and Creative Activities (UMSS21) will be held virtually on Friday, April 16th. The theme will be "The Role of our Research University in Response to Crises."
This year's event will also include a pa net of esteemed leaders in the COVID-19 response here in Maine, featuring Mehdi Karamchi, Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Puritian; Dr. Norman Moore, Director of Scientific Affairs, Abbott Laboratories and Dr. Nadia Rosenthal, Scientific Director of Jackson Laboratory. Undergraduate and Graduate Students from all disciplines at the University of Maine will present their research results in categories spanning social, natural, and physical sciences to arts, medicine, nursing, engineering, education, humanities, and business. Presentations will be available for viewing during Maine Impact Week April 12 - 16. Technical sessions and flash posters will be available on Friday, April 16th during the event.
