Abstract/ Summary

This year we have thirteen undergraduate students (!!!) who come to the Franco American Centre each week to work on one of our many projects. From first-year students to seniors, they are majoring in forestry, botany, geology, math, engineering, history, and French.

They are:
-transcribing letters handwritten in French;
-digitizing research records from a US historian of gender and labor, industrial employee records, and 1970s Maine bilingual education books;
-digitizing photographs from past Rassemblements and other conferences;
-cleaning up data from our Maine Alien Registration transcription project;
-cataloging books from the Ringuette Genealogy library; and
-running past issues of Le FAROG Forum through text recognition software

They just delight us with their presence and energy!
