This catalog of the Maine State College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts from 1868, the first for the institution, includes a list of the members of the Board of Trustees, two faculty members (Merritt C. Fernald and Samuel Johnson), the first thirteen students, information about the design of the institution, admissions, course of study, labor requirements for students, location, farm, buildings, library, reading room, scientific specimens on display, literary society, public worship, expenses, policies, degrees, and the academic calendar.
