Abstract/ Summary

The Maine Perspective, a publication for the University of Maine, was a campus newsletter produced by the Department of Public Affairs which eventually transformed into the Division of Marketing and Communication. Regular columns included the UM Calendar, a list of ongoing activities and events, "Campus Notes," "From the Library," and job listings as well as feature stories. Headlines from this issue of Maine Perspective include: Administrative Shifts Prepare Campus for Year Ahead; With UM's Help American University in Bulgaria Set to Open in September; From Alumni Hall; Ann Schonberger Names Women in the Curriculum Director; Ruth Nadelhaft to Direct UM Honors Program; and Early History of Orono Found in Hitchner Papers Newly Donated to Fogler Library.
