Abstract/ Summary
The Maine Perspective, a publication for the University of Maine, was a campus newsletter produced by the Department of Public Affairs which eventually transformed into the Division of Marketing and Communication. Regular features include listings of newly released titles by UMaine authors, "Look Who's On Campus," an opinion column entitled "Viewpoint," and Classified Ads. Included in this issue are articles covering James Sherburne, director of the UMaine Office of International Programs, as an advitor to the Jordanian delegation in Arab-Israli peace talks, the University of Maine Compost Project to create marketable compost as a way to reduce the solid waste stream on campus, and preparations to open the Page Farm and Home Museum.
