This image was included in the book Becoming Modern: The University of Maine, 1965-2015, with the caption, "Belfast Food Co-op, October 19, 1981. Founded in 1976, the Belfast Co-op is today Maine's oldest co-op grocery store. (Photo taken in connection with Agriculture and Resource Economics study of in-migration.)"
