An image scanned from a postcard of Main Street and Vallee Square in Westbrook, Maine. Several businesses appear in the image, including the West End Drug Store, a men's shoe store, Warren's furniture, and Turner Centre. No additional information or date appear on the card. Automobiles in the image appear to be circa 1930.
The Vallée family owned a drug store at the intersection of Bridge and Main Streets in the 1930s. Although born in Vermont, singer Rudy Vallée grew up in Westbrook. The square was rededicated in his honor in 2009.
