A portrait of a member of the Talbot family with the handwritten caption, "Photograph of portrait of Louisa Foster, second wife of Col. William Chaloner. The original portrait was painted in Lubec, Maine, about 1820. Hanging in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ann Adams (widow of Captain Adams), San Carlos St., San Jose, California, when I called there in 1918."
