Description
A black and white photograph of Maine outdoorsman and boxing trainer Charley Miller. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph identifies the small boy as Billy Miller. A little bear cub, about the same height as the boy, has been fitted with boxing gloves so the boy and bear can spar.
Although not mentioned in the caption, a sign on the building in the background reads Eastern Trust and Banking Company at 6 State Street, helping to identify the location as the Kenduskeag Stream in Bangor, Maine. Circa 1940.
