An image scanned from a black and white photograph of the wharf of Bar Harbor, Maine, taken in the summer of 1912 by someone working at the ticket office of the Maine Central Railroad. A caption notes, "My day started at 5:30 a.m. when I opened the ticket office for the 6 a.m. departure of the steamboat for Mt. Desert Ferry."
