Description
An image scanned from a black and white photograph taken in the area of Jonesport, Maine. Handwriting on the back of the photograph indicates that the picture was taken from the top of the Moose Peak Lighthouse, showing "Ship Channel," a very narrow and deep passage through which the largest ships may pass. The red cross marks Green Island weir, from which "we get so many fish" and is known as the "highwater weir." The red line marks Green Island.
