An image scanned from a black and white photograph with the caption, "Honoring the Maine's Dead." Ships in the photograph are identified as the Birmingham, Hotney [?], and North Carolina.

The photograph captured an added, typed caption that reads, "Donated by Mrs. Emery, Newport, R.I., wife of Lieutenant Peter Emery, U.S. Navy, who was in command of the U.S.S. Osceola, March, 1912. June, 1936."
