Description
An image scanned from a black and white photograph of the Great Northern Paper Company vessel, the William Hilton. A handwritten caption on the back reads, "The 'William Hilton' in Bangor on way to coast after having been sold. Sept., 1972." The William Hilton had previously been used to tow log booms on Chesuncook Lake.
Buildings on the corner of Central and Hammond Streets, as viewed from Main Street in downtown Bangor, had signs reading, "Grants," on the left, and "Beal Business College" on the right.
