A copy of a black and white photograph from the papers of Mary E. Dawson, a dancer born in Philadelphia who became known in the entertainment world as Mademoiselle Fifi. The print is marked at the edge Sep 74. A handwritten note on the back indicates, "This was taken March 21, 1910, Standard Theatre, Cincinnati, Ohio - first time my name was in lights. I'd only been dancing alone for five years... I had a long fur coat and muff, standing in front of theatre." Signed Fifi, October 1, 1974.
