An image scanned from a black and white photograph of nurses training to assist with surgery, circa 1900. Handwritten notes on the back list names Green, Ames, Mildred McMullen, Sawyer, Amy Woodward, Shute, L. Hopkins, J. Moore, Thornton, Mann, Florence, Rose, and indicate that seated was Miss Ellen Paine, owner of Paine Hospital.
