An image scanned from a black and white print of an elderly man identified as one of the "Hermits of Great Spruce" in a discussion with several other younger men. The photographer, William Lyman Underwood, has placed focus in the foreground on what appears to be an artistic sculpture created out of items around the property. Circa 1900.
