Description
An image scanned from a black and white photograph. Handwriting indicates that individuals in the photograph are Mrs. and Mr. Stearns, Madame Mary Balascheff, and Fred McCormick. Notes indicate that these photos were taken when Ada Peirce McCormick visited Sterns at her home in New Hampshire. Although not mentioned in the folder, a book was published in 1928 that may help explain the relationships between those in the photo, The Transplanting, a Narrative from the Letters of Marie Balascheff, a Russian Refugee in France, edited by Martha Genung Stearns.
