Description
A black and white photograph from the papers of Maine educator Carrie Rand Dolloff. Carrie attended Eastern State Normal School in Castine, and although the photograph is not labeled with a school name, it was likely taken there. Handwritten notes on the front read, "F Class, Castine, Spring 1899, Carrie's class." One person is identified as Winifred. The back of the photograph prvides handwritten names and home towns of the "Entering Class of 1899 Spring Term." Last names include Wellman, Haskell, Hunt, Wentworth, Gushil, Bates, Hughes, Mehann, Hinckley, Gushee, Nash, Rand, Cleaves, Woodman, Kimball, Cochran, Sprowle, Hatch, Pendleton, Crosgo [?], Mansfield, Worcester, Sidelinger, Clark, and identifies instructors as Mr. Richardson, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Austin, Mr. Russel, Mr. Harvey Mr. Reynolds, and Dr. Philbrook.
