Description
Black and white photograph from the Alfred Greer Hempstead collection on David Howard Tribou, an outstanding figure of New England Methodism and a chaplain in the United States Navy who was born in Hampden, Maine, in 1848. Photograph had been taped into a bound volume of family history records. Handwriting beneath the photograph says, "Chaplain David H. Tribou, extreme left, on the "Lancaster," about 1885."
