An image scanned from a black and white photograph of Helen and Scott Nearing sitting with Virginia "Ginia" Davis Wexler. The Nearings, who lived in Maine, were well known for pioneering a national back-to-the-land movement. Ginia Davis Wexler, daughter of Meyer and Hilda Davis, was known for efforts to promote the arts, particularly theater and music, in the Sullivan, Maine area.
