An image scanned from a color postcard depicting Union Station from the Western Promenade in Portland, Maine. Undated.
Union Station was opened on June 25, 1888 and was the terminus for the Boston & Maine, Maine Central and the Portland & Ogdensburg Railroad lines.
Passenger service ceased in 1960, and the station was demolished on Aug. 31, 1961.
