Abstract/ Summary
In December 1987, President Dale Lick commissioned a Task Force on the Status of Women at the University of Maine. The Task Force submitted its report on June 1, 1988. Its findings and conclusions expressed serious concerns related to each area of its charge: (1) the distribution, retention, compensation, advancement, and representation of women at the University and (2) the organizational processes and climate affecting women at the University. The one hundred and four (104) recommendations suggested specific actions to address the concerns defined in the Task Force's findings. This Draft Implementation Plan is an administrative response to each of those recommendations and to the report as a whole. The plan will be finalized following Task Force review and campus reaction.
