With support from the National Science Foundation ADVANCE Institutional Transformation program, the University of Maine launched the Rising Tide Center in 2010 to enhance the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women faculty in STEM and Social and Behavioral sciences. The reports featured in this collection provide an overview of the Rising Tide project, describe evidence-based initiatives implemented to fulfill ADVANCE project objectives, and mark the milestones that were used in evaluating the impact of ADVANCE initiatives at UMaine.
