Description
Chocolate or brown street-level view of the front of City Hall on Congress Street, Portland, Maine. The street is cobblestone. A closed carriage with a single horse is parked outside a building with awnings and a sign that reads, "Employment Office." The street is sparsely populated with a few men, women, and children strolling the sidewalk in front of City Hall and the adjacent buildings. 1895. See NA2462.
