Description

Black and white formal portrait of the Rich family of Charleston, Maine (l-r) Esther Marguerite Rich (1898-1957), Eugene Leonard Rich (1875-1955), and Etta G. (Emery) Rich (1875-1943), Dr. Paul Dinsmore's mother and grandparents. The child, Esther, has blonde hair in pigtails tied with large bows. She wears a white, drop-waisted knee-length dress with long, puff sleeves as she poses beside her father, holding his elbow. Eugene Rich is seated in a stiff, formal style, dressed in a gray suit and tie with a tab collar. He wears his dark hair in a center part and sports pince nez glasses. Etta Rich stands at Eugene's shoulder, also posed stiffly, her arms at her sides, wearing a floor-length, pleated gown with long, puff sleeves and a high collar.
