Description
Sepia photograph of the casino building at Underwood Spring Park, Falmouth Foreside, Maine. The photo was taken from inside the amphitheater looking up rows of elevated seating and two sets of stairs leading toward the casino entrance. Snow covers the lawn and is slightly drifted on the amphitheater seating. Built by a subsidiary of the Portland and Yarmouth Electric Railway, Underwood Spring Park served as a pleasure resort during the late 19th and early 20th century. circa 1900-1907. (See also p07803).
