Description
Black and white photograph of two unidentified men standing at the base of a steep, heavily snow-covered hill. The top of the hill has been nearly clear cut. The man on the right in the image is holding a thick, hemp snubbing rope, circa 1920-1930. The location of this photograph is unidentified but likely Boardman Mountain in Piscataquis County, Maine, based on other identified images from this series. Donated by Sarah “Sadie” Augusta French Lee, aka Mrs. Lyman K. Lee of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
