Black and white photograph of a team of dark-color horses hitched to a load of logs stopped at a landing or yard. Pair of horses and load of logs at landing or yard. Four unidentified men stand on top of the load. The man in front is the driver, holding the reins. Two of the men standing behind him hold peaveys, one man holds an axe. Thin spruce-fir forest can be seen in background. Recorded discussion of this photo is found in Ives Collection 1.9. Photograph is a copy of an original held by Merle Weymouth, Green Lake, Maine. Accessioned 1957.
