Color photograph of two women in uniform, ca. 1944. Back matter: (l) Beth (Leet) Hawkes, 1st Lieutenant. (r) Ruby (Leet) Maliszewski, Cadet Nurse. Greenville, Maine. Elizabeth (Leet) Hawkes was born in Greenville Junction, July 8, 1919, and died October 21, 2001. She served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nurses Corps for three and a half years, serving in the Italian and African Theaters of World War II. Ruby Geneva (Leet) Maliszewski was born in Greenville, Maine, October 16, 1923, and died October 6, 2008.
