Black and white photograph of an unidentified woodsman covering the steeply sloping wood's road with hay, ca. 1920-1930. Back matter: “This man sees that the hill is covered with dry hay.” The location of this photograph is unidentified but possibly Boardman Mountain in Piscataquis County, Maine, based on other identified images from this series. Donated by Sarah “Sadie” Augusta French Lee, aka Mrs. Lyman K. Lee of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
